Amorphous-Core Distribution Transformers

Three-phase, oil-immersed distribution transformers with an amorphous-alloy core for low-loss applications in utility and industrial distribution networks.

The published range covers 6–35 kV systems at 50 or 60 Hz. Configurations include two or three windings, selectable vector groups and on-load or off-circuit tapping arrangements. Cooling options listed for the family include ONAN, ONAF and OFAF, subject to the selected design.

Amorphous-alloy core material is used to reduce core losses. Actual guaranteed no-load and load losses must be specified for the ordered rating. The manufacturer references IEC 60076 and GB 1094 for this product family.

Typical accessories include an oil drain valve, oil-level indicator and thermometer. Tank, cooling arrangement and accessories depend on the selected configuration.
