Feeder Protection Relays
Atlas Energy supplies HVEX feeder protection relays for medium-voltage feeder and transformer applications. Adjustable protection settings, local and remote control, programmable interlocking and event records support integration into the protection scheme specified for your installation.
Measurement and inputs
Four voltage inputs: 100 V AC or 100/√3 V AC nominal; measurement range 1–120 V.
Four current inputs: 1 A or 5 A nominal; measurement range 0.04–15 × In.
RMS voltage and current, active power, power factor and frequency measurement.
50 Hz or 60 Hz versions; documented frequency ranges 45–55 Hz or 55–65 Hz.
Control, communications and records
12 digital inputs and 5 digital outputs.
One RS485 port and one RS232 port.
IEC 60870-5-103 and Modbus RTU communications.
Storage for 200 sequence-of-events entries, 400 logs and 10 seconds of trip data.
Local/remote control, programmable interlocking and status/alarm/trip indicators.
Configuration and installation
Documented supply options are 220 V AC/DC ±20%, 110 V AC/DC ±20%, or 48 V DC ±20%, with consumption of 10 W or less. The specified operating environment is −10 to +55 °C (14 to 131 °F), 5–95% relative humidity without condensation, and altitude up to 4,000 m.
Provide the required protection functions, CT/VT secondary ratings, control voltage, trip-circuit requirements and communication protocol when requesting a quotation. The selected model and protection-function schedule must be confirmed for the project.
