Pad-Mounted Compact Substations

Compact pad-mounted transformer substations for ring or radial distribution systems. The referenced YBM family combines the transformer with high-voltage switching and fuse protection in a compact enclosure, with separate access to high- and low-voltage connections.

The front section houses operating compartments, terminals, load switches and protection components. The rear section contains the transformer tank and cooling equipment. Configurations may include metering, distribution and compensation equipment according to the project.

Protection combines plug-in fuses with current-limiting backup fuses. Two-position load switches serve radial arrangements; four-position designs are available for loop arrangements.

The manufacturer describes the family for 7.2–36 kV networks and indoor or outdoor installation. Published service conditions include −25°C to +40°C and installation altitude up to 2,500 m. Exact voltage class, capacity, protection ratings and enclosure specification depend on the selected design.
