Six-Phase Relay Test Sets
Six current channels and six voltage channels for protection relay testing. Atlas Energy supplies the HVEX six-phase relay test set for commissioning, maintenance, and verification of protection schemes. Programmable AC and DC outputs support tests on electromechanical, digital, and microprocessor-based relays, with configurations for single-phase, three-phase, and differential protection applications.
Output capabilities
Six AC current channels: 0–30 A RMS per phase.
Combined current outputs: up to 60 A per phase in a three-phase arrangement, or 180 A with six channels in parallel.
Published continuous current rating: 10 A per phase; maximum phase current output power: 300 VA.
DC current: up to ±10 A per phase.
Six AC voltage channels: 0–120 V RMS per phase; up to 240 V line-to-line.
DC voltage: up to 160 V per phase.
Fundamental frequency range: 20–1,000 Hz.
Published output accuracy: 0.2% AC and 0.5% DC.
Protection test applications
Available test modules cover current, under/overvoltage, sequence components, synchronism, inverse-time characteristics, directional power, impedance, differential protection, reclosing, frequency, and timing functions. The channel configuration supports three-phase transformer differential tests and verification of automatic reclosing sequences.
Control, timing, and connectivity
DSP-controlled waveform generation and high-resolution digital-to-analog conversion.
Eight binary inputs and four pairs of switching outputs.
Time measurement range: 0.1 ms to 9,999 s; published timing accuracy better than 0.1 ms.
USB communication with computers and external devices.
Dedicated auxiliary DC supply with 110 V and 220 V settings described in the datasheet.
Software fault diagnostics and automatic output blocking, supported by hardware protection.
Specify your test program
Provide the relay models, required protection functions, output burden, current duration, and test sequence so Atlas Energy can define the HVEX configuration. Maximum output ratings depend on the selected channel arrangement and operating limits. Confirm the required supply and any digital substation protocol or software options as part of the quotation.
