Smart Motor Protection & Control Relays — PMC-550D

Protect, control and monitor low-voltage motors with the HVEX PMC-550D modular relay. Combine motor starting logic, electrical protection, operating measurements and event records in a DIN-rail-mounted device, with a separate panel display available for local operation.

Protection and control

The relay supports direct-on-line, reduced-voltage, forward/reverse and two-speed starting schemes. Functions include thermal overload, locked-rotor and prolonged-start protection, voltage and phase monitoring, local/remote control and configurable restart logic.

Standard hardware

• 10 digital inputs and 5 relay outputs.

• Two RS-485 communication ports and a programmable 4–20 mA output.

• Residual-current input and motor-current measurement through the selected PMC-MTA transducer.

• Auxiliary supply: 95–250 VAC/VDC; 50/60 Hz operation.

Configuration options

Select the communication version required for your control system. PROFIBUS DP, Ethernet and PROFINET availability depends on the ordered configuration. The PMC-KT expansion module adds six NTC temperature inputs and additional I/O; the PMC-KR module provides insulation-resistance monitoring. These modules are optional.
