Variable-Inductance Resonant Test Systems

Perform AC dielectric tests using a resonant circuit tuned by adjusting reactor inductance. Himalayal offers tank-type and cylinder-type arrangements, with excitation, voltage regulation, measurement and controls selected for the test load.

How the system works

A mechanically adjustable magnetic circuit changes the reactor inductance to establish resonance with the capacitive test object. Select the reactor arrangement and tuning range for the required test voltage, load capacitance and duty cycle.

• Adjustable resonant reactor and excitation transformer.

• Voltage regulator and resonant control system.

• High-voltage divider and current-limiting components.

• Load capacitors and cable test terminations where required by the application.
