Winding Resistance Testers — 40 A
DC winding-resistance testing for transformers, reactors, and motors. Atlas Energy supplies the HVEX 40 A inductive-load micro-ohmmeter for manufacturing, commissioning, and maintenance tests. Resistance measurements help identify discontinuities, loose connections, and abnormal winding resistance when compared with the appropriate reference values and test conditions.
Seven current ranges
40 A: 50 µΩ–500 mΩ.
20 A: 100 µΩ–1 Ω.
10 A: 500 µΩ–2 Ω.
5 A: 1 mΩ–4 Ω.
2 A: 2 mΩ–10 Ω.
100 mA: 100 mΩ–200 Ω.
Below 5 mA: 200 Ω–100 kΩ.
Published measurement accuracy is ±0.2%, with 0.1 µΩ resolution. Select the current range for the winding resistance and the applicable test procedure.

Applications
Use the HVEX instrument for DC resistance measurements on transformer windings, reactors, motors, inductors, and electromagnetic coils. Test records and temperature information support comparison across phases, taps, and maintenance intervals. HVEX lists ABNT NBR 5356/5440, IEC 60076, IEC 61869, and IEC 61010-1 as product references. Contact Atlas Energy with your equipment ratings and required test routine to confirm the appropriate setup and accessories.
